भारतातल्या मोठ्ठ्या एंजिन शेडसपैकी एक, भुसावळ शेड. एकेकाळी इतर सगळी शेडस रंगीबेरंगी एंजिने आणत असताना, भुसावळ शेड मात्र काळपट लाल रंगातली एकाच रंगसंगतीतली एंजिने आणताना पाहिली की बोअरींग वाटे. पण आता ही जुनी रंगसंगती "क्लासिक" म्हणून गणली जाते आणि त्याला मागणीही आहे. किती विचित्र असत ना माणसाचे मन ?

व्योमातून उडताना ओढीतसे मज घरटे
अन उबेत त्या घरट्याच्या क्षुद्र तेच मज गमते.
अशी आपली सगळ्यांचीच अवस्था असते. एखाद्या गोष्टीची किंमत ती वस्तू दुर्मिळ झाल्याविना कळत नाही. ती वस्तू नाहीशी झाल्यावरच त्या वस्तूची ओढ जाणवते.
Bhusaval Shed in Central Railways used to home steam locomotives. In fact it used to be one of the biggest steam locomotives sheds in India.
After it was decided to decommission steam locomotives in India, Bhusaval shed homed electric locomotives.
It initially homed WAG 2 type of locomotives. Later it got WAM 4 locomotives in its fleet.
During our childhood, Bhusaval used to be a point of loco change for almost every trains coming in from Etarsi and Nagpur and going towards Mumbai. Mumbai - Bhusaval section was electrified in late 60 s. While Bhusaval - Nagpur - Durg section of Indian Railways was electrified in early 90 s.
Bhusaval shed WAM 4 used to have Rust Red livery with yellow band initially. This livery was matching with the coach livery at that time.
Later Bhusaval shed started painting its locomotives in Cream + Red livery.
Bhusaval shed also received a few locos transferred from Ajni shed in Central Railways.
